Research Australia Central Queensland University found that children who frequently eat foods high in fat and junk foods high in sugar tend to be susceptible to interference, physical and psychological health.
The study also reveals children with unhealthy eating patterns tend to have performance that is not good in school. The majority had poor results.
As a researcher, Dr. Burke said, the specific disorders is due to junk food, depression and hyperactivity in children. "There is significant evidence that diet affects children's mental health," he said.
Besides the impact on mental health, consumption of unhealthy foods also cause obesity. Because so many foods now have an additional treatment with high-calorie foods such as salt, sugar and fat. "At some level, would endanger the lives of children," he said.
Burke, advised parents to increase their intake of unprocessed foods like fruits and vegetables for the food of children. Of course, with the balance of healthy physical activity and sport.
"We can eat healthy foods, but people who do not exercise have a risk factor for the lack of movement," he said. "The important thing is that parents are a good example for children. If parents can not live a healthy life should not expect that the opposite occurs in children."
